The Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society, is divided up into Regions, Areas, Sections, and Lodges. Section W-2N serves the lodges associated with the three councils in the Montana, Wyoming, and northern Colarado area - Apoxky-Aio Lodge of the Montana Council, Kola Lodge of the Longs Peak Council, and Tatokainyanka Lodge of the Greater Wyoming Council. Every April the Section holds its Section Conclave, a gathering for arrowmen all around the Section to come together for activities, training, and events to teach scout skills and leadership as well as create a fun environment for participants to enjoy. Additionally, it allows arrowmen to strengthen the ties of brotherhood with their fellows from all across the Section. It is hosted by a different Lodge each year, and is held at various locations within the area of the section. Click on “Conclave” at the Top of the page for more information on Conclave.
Each year at the annual Conclave the youth members elect a Section Chief, Section Vice Chief, and Section Secretary for the next year. The Section officers are primarily responsible for planning and running the annual Conclave.
The purpose of the Section is more than just running a great Conclave! The Section supports the lodges it serves through many other capacities, such as the Lodge Assistance Program, held to promote successful leadership skills and best practices, as well as to identify and offer solutions to problems lodges face. Lodge leaders can come to the Section with ideas and questions related to their lodge program. The Section provides scholarships for lodges to send youth to training seminars, national events or high adventure opportunities.
